Dave van Rijk

Hello people,

I have been working at the quality of my prints for a while now. I try to get it better and better to get the colours of the prints matching the colours of my paintings.

In the process of digitalising, you always have a loss of brightness, colours or sharpness. The company I work with are highly qualified and very professional and I must say, they deliver a very high level of quality.

My paintings are all painted with acrylic paint, on some areas, I have a transparent way of painting, I use layers of paint to build up the richness and expression of the colours, this allows me to create the brightness and vibrancy of my colours, this technique is the most difficult to reproduce. That’s why I am so keen on high quality reproduction to bring it to just that level that I want it to be.

In the process of making prints, I have a stock of my first series of prints, made by another company. They are printed on photo paper with another resolution; the surfaces of these prints are sensitive to water just like a normal photo. They are still very good but not the standard of the later prints.
